On the 20th anniversary of the Redwood Massacre, Kirsty Lisa Livingstone and her boyfriend Mark Adam Coutts meet Jessica Rebecca Wilkie and Pamela Lisa Cameron in the woods for a hike toward the house where the original murder occurred, planning a party. On his way to join them, the fifth friend Bruce Mark Wood is attacked by the masked maniac and carried off. Pamela grows uneasy when she finds Bruce’s phone on the forest floor while she searches for him.

That evening, around a campfire, Kirsty recounts the chilling tale of what happened at Redwood. Supposedly, a Liam Matheson farmer hearing voices in his head attacked and ate his wife alive before killing his two children with an ax and hanging himself. Legend says that the farmer’s evil lets him return from the grave to strike again if anyone disturbs his family’s resting place.

During the night, Mark and Jessica are kidnapped and imprisoned alongside Bruce. While Mark and Bruce remain chained to a wall, the masked maniac takes Jessica to a separate room where he tortures her to death. When Bruce is brought out to be the next target, he summons the nerve to escape his restraints and grabs an ax, but the fear and hesitation prevent him from attempting a rescue. Bruce is eventually cornered by the killer and punched to death.

At the campsite, Pamela and Kirsty realize they must push deeper into the forest to find help and make their way to a remote house. After discovering a dead fox inside the abandoned Redwood home, the two women separate to widen their chances of survival. Kirsty runs into the maniac and is killed after a short chase.

Pamela stumbles upon the killer as he drags Kirsty’s body. The hunter arrives and warns Pamela about the supernatural nature of the killer, who also killed his daughter. The killer chases and corners the two of them; the hunter gives Pamela his gun so she can escape. The killer then seemingly kills the hunter.

Pamela finds a room full of bound and bloodied victims but cannot help any of them. The killer beats Pamela severely until the hunter’s distraction allows her to seize the moment. Pamela then shoots the killer, escapes to a nearby road, and is picked up by a passing motorist. When the motorist becomes lost at night, he exits the car and is killed by the masked maniac. Pamela runs to an old auto graveyard, where the final showdown ends with her using heavy machinery to drop a car on the killer.
