As Hanif, Nadya, and their children Sandi, Dina, and Haqi arrive at the eerie remnants of Hanif’s childhood sanctuary, a heavy gloom looms over them. Unbeknownst to the family, their journey is on the verge of descending into darkness. As they gather with Pak Bandi’s caretakers, Anton and Jefri, along with their partners Eva and Lina, and fellow caregivers Maman and Siti, a chilling silence envelops the abandoned orphanage. The only children who linger in the shadows are older kids [Hasbi] and [Rani], who remain blissfully unaware of the ominous dread pervading the air.

Upon settling into their accommodations, Rani’s discomfort intensifies, rooted in her traumatic past of being left behind by her mother at this very orphanage. Although she clings to the hope of reuniting with her family, the bitter reality of abandonment casts a pall over her demeanor. Meanwhile, Haqi’s inquisitive nature leads him to probe about a mysterious locked door, which Rani reluctantly discloses a spine-chilling tale about. This tale revolves around Ibu Mirah, a clubfooted caretaker driven mad by the belief that a runaway girl named Murni was taken by a demon, hinting at the sinister secrets lingering in these once-peaceful corridors.

As guilt gnaws at Hanif, he and Jefri retrace their steps to confront the damning past and discover the body of a young girl. However, their quest for understanding is abruptly interrupted when they uncover a bus containing the lifeless forms of former orphanage children. In desperation to unveil the truth, Hanif takes the girl’s body with him, sequestering it in the trunk of his car, oblivious to the escalating chaos about to unfold.

The quest for answers spirals out of control for Anton, who ventures deeper into the grim realities, ultimately succumbing to a fate far worse than mere death - he is consumed by the malevolent forces he sought to expose. Back at the orphanage, Lina and Eva fall victim to an inexplicable paranormal presence, leading them down a dark path of self-harm in a frantic plea for liberation. With maternal instincts coursing through her, Nadya races her family to the hospital, unaware that destiny has sinister plans of its own.

Their journey transforms into a surreal nightmare as they find themselves ensnared in a haunting loop, reminiscent of an ill-fated escape attempt from the orphanage when Hanif, Anton, and Jefri had previously learned about Ibu Mirah’s tragic tale of three girls who met a fiery end through black magic. This startling find ignites her suspicions regarding Pak Bandi and his potential use of black magic for vengeance. Despite Siti’s fervent claims of innocence, a chilling truth emerges: Pak Bandi has orchestrated unspeakable acts, abusing each girl in his care and resorting to horrific intimidation by burning three as a grim warning. Amidst this chaos, a mysterious girl named Mustika awakens from a peculiar coma, shedding light on the horrific incident that claimed the lives of those aboard her bus. She mysteriously escaped the wrath of an ominous force that cursed everyone else on the bus due to her headphones muffling the deadly influence. A dramatic twist occurs when Hanif’s car collides with Mustika, now disoriented and frantic, propelling him closer to uncovering the truth: the vengeful spirit Murni, steeped in tragedy, is actually Ibu Mirah’s biological daughter.

Murni’s wrath becomes palpable as she unleashes a storm of torment upon Nadya and her family, believing that their ignorance of her family’s anguish constitutes a severe injustice. With Rani’s covert assistance, Murni presents Nadya with a harrowing dilemma: sacrifice Hanif or witness the demise of her children.
