Spike’s path crosses Angel, the daughter of Baldo, when she shows up at one of Spike’s bouts with her boyfriend, Justin. Angel longs for Spike, but Baldo is clear: he views Justin—a college student and the son of a congresswoman—as a more suitable, upwardly mobile match for Angel.
