What begins as youthful indiscretion quickly spirals into something darker. On a reckless night of racing through Mumbai streets, the four crash into two scooter riders, who die in an instant. The aftermath is a blur of adrenaline and fear, followed by the hard reality of consequences. The mishap makes them easy prey for Inspector Malwankar Rajkummar Rao, a corrosively savvy cop who slides into the case with a promise of clearing the mess for a price—₹25 lakh to drop the charges. The group tries to keep the incident under wraps, but the pressure tightens around them, forcing them to consider an even more desperate plan.

Dash reveals a dangerous spark of improvisation: a kidnapping-for-ransom, inspired by a friend who once faked his own brother’s kidnapping to extract money from his parents. The gang leans into the idea, and Amy volunteers to be the target of the ruse under the pretense of a personal vendetta or a step toward reclaiming control in her life. Amy’s father, Rajit Kapoor(/actor/rajit-kapoor), reacts with a blend of concern and resolve, and he approaches the city’s power structure for help. The Police Commissioner Pavan Malhotra orders an unofficial probe led by Arvind Mathur Rajeev Khandelwal, a principled but troubled officer who has his own fractures to navigate—his work life strained by a simmering, near-dissolved marriage.

The plot accelerates as the gang holes up in a shady hotel, carrying out the kidnapping plan under Dash’s calculated nerves and KC’s swagger. When a would-be rapist targets Tanya, the group’s violence erupts again, killing the man to shield their operation. The escape leads them to a cinema hall where Amy discovers a packet of cocaine in Dash’s satchel, a disturbing reminder of how far they’ve sunk. Tanya’s moral turmoil burgeons, and she pleads with Zubin to take her home. A confrontation erupts between Amy and Tanya, and in the heat of the moment, KC crushes Tanya’s head against a wall, leaving her gravely injured. Zubin, returning with a taxi, finds the horror and, terrified, flees the scene as Dash orchestrates a tense and dangerous gambit.

The trio’s cover begins to crumble as Zubin is arrested while trying to flee the city and Dash whisks Amy and KC to a church on the city’s outskirts, hoping to weather the storm and figure out a new plan. Back in the city, the police, having tracked Malwankar through a chain of misdirection and near-tragedy, corner him in a dangerous pursuit that nearly claims his life in a truck collision. KC, shaken by the public exposure of his handicapped sister’s distress at the media’s glare, calls home to his father for help, a moment of vulnerability that leaves the police closer to their quarry. The chase tightens as the authorities close in on the church, and the gang’s shelter is breached.

Inside the church, Dash pushes KC away and the two clash in a brutal struggle. Dash overpowers KC, fatally wounding him in the process, and then turns his attention toward Amy, trying to persuade her to leave with him into an uncertain future. The mood shifts dramatically when Amy—cocaine-fueled and emotionally frayed—experiences a traumatic flashback of her mother’s attempt to drown her, a memory that reawakens a deep-seated terror and catalyzes a violent break. In a frenzy, she stabs Dash, ending his threat as the police finally arrive and recover the scene.

Despite the mounting truth, the authorities decide to protect the image of the police force and orchestrate a skewed narrative. Mathur, already burdened by personal issues, helps secure a statement that Dash had kidnapped all four victims, a cover meant to preserve reputations at the cost of truth. The film closes on a note of quiet tragedy and uneasy reconciliation: Mathur returns home to his wife, hinting at the possibility of mending a fractured relationship, while Amy is sent away—this time to a convent—carrying the memory of her mother’s name, Saira, as a final tether to her past.

In an unflinching, morally gray landscape, the film examines how privilege, fear, and impulse collide in a city that never stops moving. The characters—Amy, KC, Dash, Zubin, and Tanya—are drawn with raw honesty, each shaped by their influences and the pressures around them.
