During Hell Week, Wendy reveals to Bonner that Rex's stabbing was a ruse designed to scare the pledges. She explains that Dan is faking insanity to test their loyalty. The revelation shatters the façade of the fraternity’s honor for Bonner.

Bonner learns of 1969 hazing death

Bonner's mother arrives for a private meeting and discloses a deadly hazing history connected to the house. In 1969, her then-boyfriend Sidney Snyder died during a hazing accident caused by the house’s dangerous traditions. The past casts a shadow over the present.

Final day begins with a lecture

On the final day, J.D. takes the pledges to the basement for a lecture on the supposed history of college fraternities. The atmosphere is tense, and the talk feels more like a warning than a lesson. The unsettling mood foreshadows the violence to come.

Tom is murdered by Sidney

The ghost of Sidney Snyder arrives and murders Tom while he is alone in an upstairs bathroom. The brutal act signals that the haunting has become deadly and personal. The house begins to realize someone—or something—is orchestrating the killings.

Dan kills Chip and two sorority sisters

Dan, apparently possessed by Sidney, kills Chip when he tries to call the police and then murders two sorority girls working with Wendy. The violence fills the house with panic as the survivors scramble for safety. The line between human threat and supernatural danger blurs.

J.D. is knocked out and bound

J.D. confronts Dan and is knocked unconscious, then tied to a shelf to prevent interference. The power shift within the house leaves the pledges vulnerable and reduces any chance of help arriving in time. The threat now sits in the basement with the remaining survivors.

Sidney’s ghost escalates the killings

Sidney’s ghost bursts from Dan’s body and murders J.D. by triggering a cherry bomb in his underwear. The grisly moment confirms the possession and extends the killings to another survivor. The house erupts with fear as more victims fall.

Cagle and Silvera fall to Sidney

Sidney appears and murders Cagle, then kills Silvera, leaving only a few pledges alive. The bloodshed intensifies as the house attempts to carry on. The survivors realize there is no safe corner left in the house.

Zahn, Goodman and Bodine are taken

Sidney continues his rampage, killing Zahn as he goes to call the police, followed by Goodman and Bodine. With nearly everyone else dead, Bonner and Wendy are the last two left. The end of the ritual seems near, but the killer is not finished.

Final confrontation and reveal

Bonner and Wendy confront Sidney in the basement as Bonner reveals his name. Sidney explains that his killings were to protect Bonner from the bad influence of the fraternity and then fades away. The audience is left with the implication that the killer’s past looms over Bonner.
