Suryanarayana Sathyaraj is a dutiful judge who resigns after he cannot deliver justice to Amulya, a woman who was threatened and blackmailed by a rich man named Vivek and ultimately took her own life. While he pours his heart into a modest shop to provide for his family, his son Ramachandra “Lucky” Gopichand stumbles upon his father’s old law books and coat, a moment that lights a spark of ambition and a dream to become a lawyer.

Years pass, and Lucky grows into an advocate who embodies a strikingly different set of principles from his father. He begins to settle cases outside the courtroom for personal profit, a practice Suryanarayana remains blissfully unaware of as the two drift along on separate paths. The fragile balance is tested when Jhansi Raashii Khanna, a spirited actress whose on-screen lawyer role was cut short to save money, seeks Lucky out to sue a studio. Though their initial bid is rejected, Lucky is impressed by Jhansi’s real-world knowledge of law, and a mutual attraction forms between them.

Lucky’s ascent takes a darker turn when he defends a gangster who killed a lawyer despite strong evidence against him, while Suryanarayana helps a couple file a case against a corrupt developer and politician who is secretly Vivek. When Suryanarayana refers the case to Lucky, the younger man instead aligns with Vivek, accepting substantial rewards and complicating everyone’s fate. Vivek himself abducts the husband who had exposed his corruption, escalating the stakes. On the second hearing for the gangster’s murder, Jhansi, drawn closer to the family, unexpectedly brings Suryanarayana into the courtroom, forcing Lucky to argue with honesty and resulting in a guilty verdict for the gangster. Vivek continues to shower Lucky with gifts as the investigation stretches on, while Lucky’s search for the missing husband leads nowhere, and Vivek’s scheme to kill him by sealing him inside a pillar hangs over the proceedings. In a chilling twist, Lucky encounters a mysterious woman named Amulya, who is revealed to be Vivek’s wife, though her exact fate remains tangled in the web of deception.

The tide turns when Lucky secures a seat as an MLA in Vivek’s political party, heightening the political stakes and forcing the courtroom battles into a broader arena. As Vivek prepares to be sworn in, news breaks of a cab driver’s body found at Vivek’s farmhouse, a clue that deepens the connections between Amulya, Vivek, and the growing web of lies. It is eventually revealed that Amulya is actually Saira Banu, the cab driver’s wife. In retaliation, Vivek abducts Suryanarayana and asks Lucky to bail him out. But Lucky chooses a different path: he saves Suryanarayana and reveals that his entire long game was a personal mission to avenge the injustice he witnessed as a child after his father’s resignation, a plan that also involved enlisting Saira Banu to distract Vivek. Vivek’s own defense attorney abandons him after realizing Lucky had used gifts and conversations to collect vital evidence and biometric details. With the truth laid bare, Vivek’s grip on power collapses, and he descends into madness, ultimately begging the court for a death sentence.
