Following his execution, the villagers insist on a grim ritual called Samadhi Shiksha, sealing Tirupati’s corpse instead of cremating it. This improper burial prevents his soul from finding moksha, turning him into a vengeful spirit that returns six months later to terrorize Odela. The revived evil possesses men and resumes a brutal spree, targeting newlywed brides and plunging the village into fear and chaos.

As the body count grows, the spirit’s influence spreads through the town in a disturbingly intimate way: he uses the men around him to enact his crimes again and again. He even possesses the village pandit to rape and murder one bride on her wedding night, and then takes control of the village sarpanch to repeat the horror against the second bride, which unfolds in a maize field with bone-chilling ferocity. The community is left to grapple with a terror that seems to manipulate the very people tasked with safeguarding them, forcing them to question whether any traditional authority can stand against a malevolent force that bends reality to its will.

Seeking guidance, the village turns to Radha, who is imprisoned for killing Tirupati, and she reveals a crucial ally: her estranged sister Bhairavi, a formidable Naga Sadhu and devotee of Lord Shiva. Bhairavi has been living as an ascetic, her days marked by the chant Om Namah Shivaya and the guardianship of a sacred snake, as she treks toward Odela with a purpose that promises to challenge the spirit’s grip on the town. Bhairavi’s arrival is met with a mix of awe and relief; her dramatic entrance comes as she confronts the corrupt and the cruel, beating up several drunk men who had been mercilessly abusing cows and creating a climate of fear. Her presence raises the villagers’ hopes that divine intervention might restore order.

With Bhairavi’s arrival, the plan to break Tirupati’s hold centers on rituals and knowledge of scripture. A local Muslim baba, [Murali Sharma], lends his aid, offering surprising insights from Hindu scriptures that help Bhairavi weaken the spirit’s influence. The pair work in concert, weaving ritual actions with the villagers’ prayers, as Odela’s people begin to glimpse the possibility of a spiritual solution to the terror that has gripped their lives. The city journalists who come in search of a sensational story briefly become part of the drama when a drone is crashed onto Tirupati’s grave, and the night that follows tests Bhairavi’s resolve and the village’s faith.

The danger intensifies as Tirupati’s spirit awakens after the drone incident, heading toward Bhairavi with a predatory intent. He confronts her near the village’s edge, and the clash is brutal until Bhairavi stands her ground. The spirit’s deception becomes more evident as he tries to reshape the village’s fear into a tool for domination, but Bhairavi’s resolve—and the strategic support from the locals—keeps the fight alive. The struggle also tests the villagers’ willingness to reject superstition in favor of a more disciplined, ritual approach to fear, highlighting the tension between belief and empirical protection in Odela.

As the conflict escalates, Tirupati proclaims his mastery over the five elements—earth, fire, water, air, and sky—and draws a lethal border around Odela. No living being may cross to reach essential safeguards like hospitals or farms, and Crop failures and disaster threaten to turn the village into a permanent graveyard. A crucial moment arrives when a fragile, asthma-stricken girl cannot cross the border to reach help outside Odela. Bhairavi recognizes that Radha’s bond to Tirupati—through marriage—might offer a unique path to freedom. Radha agrees to dress as a bride and approach the grave to distract Tirupati, while Bhairavi intensifies the ritual’s power by loudly chanting Om Namah Shivaya, aiming to weaken the protective barrier and restore a path to safety for the child.

Yet a sandstorm and a power outage threaten to derail the plan just as the asthma patient’s father is poised to cross. Tirupati re-emerges, and Radha’s life collides with the ritual’s crescendo. In a scene that mirrors the opening tragedy, Tirupati seizes the moment to attack, and Radha’s body is taken in a brutal display that once again tests Odela’s resolve and memory. The village must confront the possibility that the bond of marriage is not enough to seal away such malice, even as Bhairavi’s faith remains unshaken.

In a pivotal turning point, Bhairavi endures fresh torment as Tirupati tries to bend the ceremony to his will. A young, brave girl visits the temple’s Nandi statue and pleads for divine intervention. Nandi awakens, breathing life back into Bhairavi, who completes the 110 crore chants with a final, decisive Om Namah Shivaya. Lord Shiva himself appears before the gathered crowd, handing Bhairavi his Trishul, which she wields to vanquish Tirupati. Simultaneously, Tirupati’s remains are burned on a pyre according to Hindu burial rites, a ritual meant to free his spirit from the mortal realm through Kapal Moksha. With Tirupati defeated, Bhairavi departs Odela to continue her ascetic life, the village left to rebuild and reflect on the power of divine intervention.

The film closes with a haunting hint of what might come next: Tirupati’s bicycle is seen roaming Odela’s streets, riderless, a symbol that the battle between good and evil may not be fully resolved and that the cycle of fear could begin again.
