Rajiv Kaul, Sanjay Suri, is celebrating his 40th birthday with friends when a chance encounter with a mysterious woman, Sandy, Nora Fatehi, sparks a fleeting intimacy. The night takes a brutal turn as she is killed by shards of glass in the back of her head. Rajiv is left staring at a blood-soaked pillow, gulping down alcohol and sleeping pills to dull the shock. The day becomes a loop of memories: visions of happier moments with his wife on anniversaries, punctuated by the recurring sight of Sandy’s blood-streaked head. He heads toward his wife’s family home, only to stumble upon a secret: his wife, Zenia Starr Ritu, is involved with his friend Vicky, and they had secretly planned a Bali trip for his birthday.
