Ali, Danish Taimoor, a young Pakistani, returns from China to Karachi with gifts for his family and friends. He is in love with his childhood crush Mehru, Sana Javed, the daughter of his father’s friend, and a marriage alliance is arranged between their families. Meanwhile, Marzi, Nayyar Ejaz, a local transgender don, seeks to buy out the neighbourhood in a scheme with a politician to profit from anticipated Chinese development in the area. The reunion of two families under the promise of progress sets the stage for a story that blends romance, community spirit, and the harsh realities of urban politics.

Newlyweds Ali and Mehru face a personal setback when they discover they cannot conceive a child. A Lady Doctor, Hina Khawaja Bayat, explains that stress could be a contributing factor, given Mehru’s difficulty adjusting to city squalor and her fears about crime. This medical concern pushes Ali to make a compassionate choice: he suggests Mehru spend time with her father in the country, hoping the change of scenery will ease her mind. At the same time, he commits to a bigger mission—improving the neighbourhood by transforming attitudes and instilling a sense of pride among the residents.

Yet behind the scenes, Marzi intensifies his scheme to seize control of the block. He rents an apartment and mobilizes a crew to stir trouble, leveraging fear to destabilize the nascent progress. The politician at the center of the plot corners Mehru, abducting her and demanding ₨3 crore (30 million rupees) as ransom from Ali. The crisis exposes the fragility of the so-called renewal project and pits neighbor against neighbor as fear threatens to unravel the delicate balance of trust that has begun to form.

To raise the ransom, many residents are forced to make a painful choice: they sell their apartments to Marzi for a mere ₨10 lakhs (1 million rupees), sacrificing their homes in a bid to protect what they’ve started to build together. Realizing the full scope of the manipulation, Ali and his friends spring into action.
