In a charming rustic forest, a group of friends sets out on an exciting LARP adventure; however, their fun is swiftly interrupted by an aggressive group of “paintballers.” Amid this chaos, Joe Revitt, played by Peter Dinklage, finds his world turned upside down when his girlfriend Beth abruptly ends their relationship. To help him cope with his heartbreak, his buddies Eric and Hung, portrayed by Steve Zahn and Ryan Kwanten, devise a plan to take him to a fantasy LARP event, believing that the thrill of the game will be just the distraction he needs.

Upon arriving at the event, they encounter Ronnie Kwok, the self-styled Game Master, who harbors a personal vendetta against Joe due to a past humiliation during a Dungeons & Dragons game. In a bid to remedy the tense situation, Eric starts reciting passages from a mysterious grimoire he acquired online. Little do they know, this ancient book houses genuine Enochian spells capable of summoning powerful and otherworldly entities.

As Eric’s incantations inadvertently call forth a malevolent succubus that strikingly resembles Joe’s former flame, Beth, the LARP takes a dark turn. In the meantime, Hung takes it upon himself to teach Joe the ropes of combat in this fantastical world, while Joe develops an unexpected connection with a fellow LARPer named Gwen. The plot thickens as Gwen’s brutish cousin Gunther believes their escapades have morphed into a real-life fantasy adventure.

As the game escalates, the succubus begins to wreak havoc and as the death toll rises, both Hung and their friend Lando fall victim to its wrath.
