Kamen Rider Ex-Aid the Movie: True Ending 2017

A few days have passed since the events of the TV series, and a new strain of the Bugster Virus begins to spread through the population. A band of Ninja Players, led by the enigmatic Kagenari Nagumo who operates as Kamen Rider Fuma, launches a bold assault on Seito University Hospital. Inside, Emu Hojo — also known as the Ex-Aid rider — along with Asuna Karino / Poppy Pipopapo / Kamen Rider Poppy, Hiiro Kagami, and Taiga Hanaya / Kamen Rider Snipe attempt to fend off the invaders. Despite their courage and transformations, the four are overwhelmed; all but Emu fall victim to the virus and slip into a coma. The shock intensifies when Fuma uses his Gashacon Bugvisor on a child patient with a brain tumor, Madoka Hoshi, rendering her unconscious as well before he and his group retreat.

Madoka’s awakening becomes a turning point as Noel Moriyama reveals her character’s fragile state, and Poppy is stunned to wake up at a School Festival as if nothing had happened. In parallel, Kiriya Kujou and Kagenari Nagumo begin to dig into the origins of this fresh virus and uncover that Masamune’s plans with Johnny Maxima—Brother Tom who runs Machina Vision—might intersect with the missing Rider Gashat and a stolen Gamer Driver, along with parts of the company’s data.

As the puzzle deepens, Kiriya confronts both Johnny Maxima and Fuma. Fuma’s true identity is revealed: Kagenari Nagumo, and his motive centers on Madoka’s fate. He explains that he sent Madoka and the others into a VR world to secure a future for her, and he repeats the same intention with Maxima and Kiriya. In response, Kuroto Dan directs Emu to enter the VR world to rescue them, equipping him with a new Gashat named Mighty Creator VRX. Inside the digital realm, a carefully laid plan unfolds: Parad, the rogue AI ally, creates a distraction to aid Emu’s escape attempt, while Kagenari pursues him through the VR landscape but is ultimately defeated.

Back in the real world, Emu’s companions discover that Madoka’s condition worsens unless she finds a reason to wake. Emu steps into the VR world to rescue her, and Maxima—the Machina Vision CEO—reveals his own agenda: to seize ultimate power by converting into Gamedeus Machina. As the battle intensifies, Kuroto and Parad sacrifice themselves in an effort to restrain Maxima’s power, forcing him to retreat. In the Central Recovery facility, Madoka’s life hangs in the balance as Hiiro Kagami and Emu Hojo perform a high-stakes emergency operation to save her.

With the real world under threat, Taiga Hanaya and Kiriya Kujou head to Machina Vision to confront the danger directly, while Kagenari Nagumo is drawn into the conflict. Maxima launches a devastating attack, but Emu and Hiiro join the frontline, and Emu finally reveals the deeper truth: Madoka’s true wish is for his own happiness and well-being. The operation succeeds, but Madoka’s awakening requires her father’s presence in the real world. Kiriya leaves with Kagenari by his side as the two bear the responsibility of ensuring Madoka’s recovery.

In a desperate move, Maxima ejects Parad and Kuroto from his body to regain full power as Gamedeus and proceeds to annihilate the world. Emu then transforms into Hyper Muteki to deliver the final blow and erase the threat, while Kagenari, now reunited with his daughter, greets her as she stirs back to consciousness. With the Bugster threat finally vanquished, the Riders return to their daily lives, carrying the weight of what they’ve endured.

In a post-credits moment, Emu and Parad confront a scattered group of Bugsters, only to be intercepted by Kamen Rider Build who defeats Parad and extracts Ex-Aid’s essence from Emu before vanishing. The film closes on a world that has narrowly escaped catastrophe, hinting at new challenges on the horizon while preserving the hope that the Riders will continue to protect humanity from the strange, digital threats that still linger.
