Ranjankudi Anbarasu Murugesa Boopathy Ohondhiran, popularly known as Rambo, is the protagonist of a story rooted in superstition and family curses. Born into a family cursed with the belief that anyone who marries into their bloodline will meet a tragic or untimely end, Rambo’s life is overshadowed by the ominous history of his ancestors. His father, Prabhu, is determined to shatter this curse and marries Minah Kaif, a local teacher. However, fate has other plans: shortly after the marriage, Rambo’s father tragically dies after slipping from a tower, an event believed to be a direct consequence of the curse. Minutes after the funeral, Minah suffers a stroke that leaves her paralyzed, strengthening the villagers’ and relatives’ belief that the curse is real and that Rambo’s birth only brought trouble.

Growing up under the weight of these superstitions, Rambo internalizes the idea that he is a harbinger of bad luck, which influences his outlook on life. His mother, portrayed by Seema, also faces health challenges, including seizures, which make Rambo believe that his closeness to her endangers her life. Driven by fear and guilt, he distances himself from his family and community, leading him to live a life marked by hard work and resilience. Rambo juggles two jobs—by day, he drives a cab to make ends meet, and by night, he works as a bouncer at a local pub.

At the pub, Rambo befriends Khatija Begum, a woman with whom he forms a close friendship. Her life is complicated by an abusive boyfriend, Mohammed Mobi, played by S. Sreesanth, who physically assault her. When Mobi slaps Khatija, Rambo confronts him in defense of her, ultimately leading Khatija to break up with him. As their friendship deepens, Khatija begins to see Rambo as more than just a friend, and their bond intensifies.

Meanwhile, Rambo also encounters Kanmani, a hardworking saleswoman who cares for her younger sister Minmini and a brother with special needs, Bhargav. Kanmani hopes to find a husband who will accept her entire family, reflecting her selfless nature and desire to keep her family united. Both women develop feelings for Rambo, who, despite being surprised that two wonderful women love him, believes that their affection has begun to turn his bad luck into good fortune. Recognizing the sincerity of their love, Rambo accepts both women’s proposals, leading to a complicated but heartfelt love triangle.

Struggling to manage his double relationships, Rambo seeks help from Prabhu, a popular reality show host, to devise a story that might explain his situation. They come up with the idea that Rambo suffers from a memory disorder that causes him to forget events in alternating days. However, this scheme crumbles when Rambo admits that he remembers both women and is genuinely in love with both of them. Despite this, Kanmani and Khatija refuse to give up on their relationship with him, choosing instead to stand by their love for Rambo and decide to marry him.

The three of them move in together, facing initial friction and jealousy from Khatija and Kanmani. Nevertheless, their friendship begins to grow stronger, especially after Khatija’s father falls seriously ill and passes away. The women support each other during this challenging time, and through a mutual friend, they uncover the truth: the reality show was staged, and Rambo’s intentions were not entirely genuine. Feeling betrayed, the women upset with the deception, decide to confront Rambo and ask him to leave.

In a heartfelt effort to make amends, Rambo’s friends invite the women and Rambo to visit his village one last time, hoping to see his ailing mother. Reluctant at first, Rambo eventually agrees, and an extraordinary turn of events occurs—his presence seemingly has a healing effect, and his mother miraculously recovers. This miracle leads the villagers to believe that Rambo has now become a bringer of good luck, not bad, and they fervently ask the two women to marry Rambo to break the curse once and for all. The entire family, including his relatives, are married in a grand ceremony, symbolizing hope and new beginnings.

Despite the wedding, both women, Khatija and Kanmani, make profound sacrifices, choosing to leave Rambo so he can find happiness with the other. They each decide that their love, though challenged, could no longer continue if it meant Rambo’s well-being. A year passes, and Rambo reunites with the women, explaining that their union was enough to dispel the curse and bring prosperity into his life. However, in a humorous twist, Rambo reveals to his neighbor that he’s chatting with Katrina Kaif as his new girlfriend, tossing his phone aside and leaving the possibility of new adventures open in his life.

This story intricately weaves themes of superstition, love, sacrifice, and hope, emphasizing that sometimes, belief in love and kindness can triumph over ancient curses and fears.
