He travels to Mauritius, moves into a bungalow next to Vinod, the owner of the property who also serves as a landlord, and crosses paths with a new life that threatens the quiet of Yograj’s retirement. Varun is startled to see his father-in-law take up residence nearby, and with Karan by his side, Varun begins to juggle two lives: he spends mornings jogging and interviewing for jobs, but he spends afternoons and evenings visiting Yograj and then slipping away to be with Riya. The dual existence continues as Varun uses the side gate that connects the two homes, a gate whose squeak becomes an unofficial soundtrack to his nocturnal escapades.

Kokey observes these late-night visits with growing concern, and his suspicions lead him to incorrectly conclude that Yograj is pursuing Ruchi, one of Vinod’s tenants.
