Samyukthan, a sales manager at an emerging CCTV company, finds himself struggling with declining job performance and constant comparisons to Jack Daniels, the top salesman of the company’s northern branch. Feeling frustrated and seeking a change of scenery, he decides one evening to visit his friend in Paramedu.
Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Shibu and his team, Ashraf and Lawrence, are puzzled by a series of strange incidents in the neighborhood, where two pieces of black tape are frequently found on houses. Their investigation leads them to suspect a North Indian migrant worker, whom they arrest, but the situation remains confusing. As part of a new initiative titled “Oru Chayakku oru jeevan”, aimed at fostering better relationships between police and the community, SI Shibu and his constables begin offering cups of tea to late-night drivers. Samyukthan, unwittingly, becomes their first customer and agrees to drink the tea after some persuasion.
Later, after indulging in some rotten chicken, Samyukthan urgently needs to find a toilet. Ashraf accompanies him to a nearby home, where they are granted permission to use the facilities. Suddenly, they encounter a young man in a ski-mask, who, upon seeing Ashraf, quickly starts running. A chase ensues, and the young man snatches a newspaper delivery person’s bike to escape. Ashraf and Samyukthan manage to meet the delivery man and decide to retrieve the bike from Samyukthan’s car later.
Meanwhile, a car thief named Raphael Panjimootil Mathai, along with his brothers, steals a vehicle from the same house where Ashraf and Samyukthan had been. In their hurried attempt to evade the police, they cleverly greet SI Shibu with a gift—an orchid plant—without arousing suspicion, and they proceed to dismantle and sell the stolen car parts.
As dawn approaches, the homeowners realize their car has been stolen and report it to the police. The media amplifies the story with exaggerated headlines, and SP Ashok Kumar uploads videos of SI Shibu receiving a gift from the thieves. The authorities, concerned about the negative publicity, reprimand SP Ashok and launch an investigation, starting with a visit to the victim’s house.
Meanwhile, the car thieves, while driving away, collide with the young man on the bike and agree to drop him off at the next junction. They later encounter Ashraf, Samyukthan, and a newspaper delivery man seeking a ride. As they travel together, the young man is identified as the person who stole the bike and escaped, and the police quickly realize that the vehicle they were all riding in is the stolen car. A high-speed chase begins when they seize the stolen vehicle and pursue Raphael and his brothers.
Eventually, Raphael anticipates that they won’t outrun the police, so he gets out of the car and boards a bus, leaving his brothers behind with Ashraf. The police apprehend the brothers and arrest Raphael when he is discovered hiding in a bus after it crashes into a police station. During questioning, the young man admits that he and his accomplice were responsible for placing the black tape on houses, revealing that the accomplice was in the trunk of the stolen car all along—Jack Daniels.
In the end, Samyukthan is appreciated for his bravery and his role in assisting the police. He then visits his friend, who had planned to propose to him. Interestingly, the girl he is meant to be with lives in the very house where Samyukthan had visited the night before, making the coincidence even more meaningful. His night of unexpected adventures concludes with a new sense of purpose and hope for the future.

Through his eyes, viewers glimpse the subtle dance of trust building, where simple gestures can spark larger conversations about safety, belonging, and community spirit.
As the night deepens, the officers find themselves navigating a series of unforeseen hiccups that test both their patience and their resolve. The tone remains breezy and optimistic, punctuated by moments of gentle chaos that highlight the humanity on both sides of the law. Against the backdrop of Kerala’s lively streets, the story asks whether good intentions, bolstered by sincere human connection, can truly reshape the image of an institution.
