Catherine, known online as CW, and her lover Diane travel to a French chateau for their anniversary. When an influencer named Charlotte claims the room Catherine had booked, Catherine’s fury erupts. The two women enjoy the pool together, but Catherine’s jealousy and contempt for influencers drive her to a brutal act: she lures Charlotte to a crumbling castle, pushes her off the roof and watches her die, snapping a photo of the corpse and stealing Charlotte’s phone for later Instagram uploads.

Back at the chateau, Diane begins to suspect something is wrong. While Catherine is away, she finds three foreign passports hidden among Catherine’s belongings and discovers that Catherine has been logged into Charlotte’s Instagram account. The clues point to a string of murders Catherine committed earlier in Thailand under the name Madison. Realising she is living with a serial killer, Diane decides to call the police, but Catherine attacks her, strikes her on the head and strangles her. In a moment of panic and remorse, Catherine cries out that she never meant to kill Diane, then uses an AI‑generated voice to mimic Diane’s speech, essentially imprisoning herself in a hollow, obedient digital copy of the woman she loved.

Madison, the influencer once blamed for the Thai killings, follows the trail left by Charlotte’s online posts and ends up in Bali, tracking the same couple through Diane’s social media. There she meets Jacob, a misogynistic “sigma‑male” influencer, and his partner Ariana, who champion an ultra‑conservative lifestyle. Jacob, curious about Madison’s investigation, pushes her to reveal more, and Madison soon learns that CW has been stalking the island, using Jacob’s home network to spy on him.

Seizing an opportunity, CW hacks into Jacob’s computer and leaks a compromising video of him and Ariana with another man. The scandal triggers Ariana’s suicide, and Jacob, convinced Madison is responsible, prepares a live‑streamed showdown. The confrontation explodes into a violent melee: Madison overpowers CW, ties her up, and ransacks her bungalow, uncovering the murder photo of Charlotte, the fake passports and other damning evidence.

When CW awakens, she discovers that the whole scene has been broadcast live. With the world watching, she spirals into a frenzy, repeatedly stabbing Jacob, driving him into the pool, and then turning on anyone else who tries to stop her—Cameron, his companions, and anyone nearby. The livestream turns the murder into twisted entertainment, highlighting the audience’s morbid fascination with influencer culture.

In the chaotic climax, Madison escapes the villa with the incriminating files and walks away, poised to hand them over to the authorities. CW is left surrounded by police, her reign of terror finally exposed. The film ends with the implication that CW will either be taken into custody—potentially by Interpol for her cross‑border crimes—or choose to end her own life to retain the last shred of control, while Madison finally has a chance at a life free from CW’s murderous shadow.
