Family life and protection

Terry Yue Siu-bo raises his children, Natalie and Nicky, alone after his wife's death. He uses traditional bonesetting skills and kung fu to protect and guide them as they grow into capable young adults. The family shares stories, training, and a stubborn love that keeps them united through hardship.

Daily lives of Nicky and Natalie

Nicky works as a dolphin trainer at Ocean Park, bringing an element of danger and wonder to their lives. Natalie goes to school and spends time with her friend Ella, while her connection to Nicky's circle grows through Jason, a musician friend. The siblings lean on each other as they navigate adolescence under Siu-bo's watchful eye.

Rocco abducts Siu-bo

Rocco, a wheelchair-using ex-CIA agent, ambushes Siu-bo and abducts him, demanding information about a former spy he believes Siu-bo protected. He threatens Siu-bo's children to force cooperation, but Siu-bo refuses to reveal anything. The kidnap marks the start of a dangerous confrontation.

Secret room reveals past

Uncle Chiu discovers Siu-bo's shop has been trashed and contacts Nicky about his father's disappearance. Nicky finds a hidden room at the back of the shop revealing Siu-bo's past as a G4 agent tasked with protecting former spies. The discovery reframes the threat as a clash with a long-buried assignment.

Escape to safety

Rocco's agents target Natalie during a play, forcing a dramatic escape. Nicky arrives and, with help from Ella and Jason, the siblings flee to Jason's house to regroup. They realize their father's past is the key to stopping the vendetta.

Memory cards and a deadline

At Jason's house, Natalie discovers a memory card hidden in her charm, while the other card is still in Nicky's locker at the park. They attempt a late-night retrieval but are intercepted by two of Rocco's minions. A phone call with Rocco sets a one-day deadline to locate the agent.

Voice authentication and a Siu-bo capture

Jason works through the night to craft a voice-authenticating file so they can access the memory database. Meanwhile, Siu-bo tries to escape but is foiled by Rocco's skilled son, who blocks his efforts with a bo staff. The plan hinges on convincing the system to recognize Siu-bo's voice.

Database reveals target

Jason finally accesses the database and discovers that Rocco's real target is Uncle Chiu, the former agent who left him paralyzed. The revelation reframes the mission from revenge to a rescue operation. The group resolves to confront Rocco and protect Uncle Chiu at once.

Betrayal and truth

Nicky and Natalie rush to Uncle Chiu to safeguard him, but Jason traps them in his studio to keep them safe from danger. He reveals he is Siu-bo's co-agent and confesses his feelings for Natalie, insisting that his intentions are genuine and not just a cover. Trust fractures as fear mounts.

Relocation plan and rooftop chase

Jason heads to Uncle Chiu with a plan to relocate him, leading to a rooftop chase across the city. He injures his ankle in a bid to rescue them, and a fire hose saves him from a fatal fall. The pursuit intensifies as they press forward to a safer location.

Confrontation at Rocco's lair

Nicky and Natalie take a boat to Rocco's lair and demand to see their father. A brutal fight erupts as they fend off Rocco's men and free Siu-bo from a tank that is running dry. Uncle Chiu arrives to lend aid, and Nicky defeats Rocco's son, forcing Rocco to retreat.
