Jaya Kumari, Janhvi Kapoor a.k.a. Jerry, lives with her mother, Sharbati Mita Vashisht, and her younger sister Chhaya “Cherry” Kumari Samta Sudiksha in a small town in Punjab. She works as a masseuse in a local parlour. Their neighbour Anil, Neeraj Sood, quietly supports them and acts as a father figure to Jerry and Cherry. Sharbati is unhappy about Jerry’s job but stays resolved to keep it because it brings more money and a comfortable life. Rinku, a local troublemaker, Deepak Dobriyal stalks Jerry, even though she isn’t interested in him. Tenzin, Jerry’s friend who helps in her mother’s business, is Tashi Kalden.

Sharbati is diagnosed with stage two lung cancer and needs 25 lakh rupees for treatment and chemotherapy. One day, Jerry accidentally helps the police nab a drug smuggler, and Inspector Lal Rajendra Sethi thanks her for the assistance. The smuggler’s boss, Timmy Jaswant Singh Dalal, and his henchmen—Daddu Mohan Kamboj and Jigar Sahil Mehta—confront Jerry outside the market. Timmy orders her to bring the hidden stash from inside the market. With Cherry taken hostage by Jigar, a frightened Jerry manages to retrieve the drugs amidst police presence. On the way home, she discovers Cherry has stolen the smuggler’s wallet and money, and she resolves to smuggle drugs to raise money for her mother’s treatment.

The next day, Jerry locates Timmy’s hideout and asks to be considered for the job since she badly needs money. Timmy agrees to keep her and even convinces his boss, Malik Saurabh Sachdeva to back the arrangement. He directs Jerry to supply the drugs to a fish factory owned by Malik by hiding them in a tiffin box. She quickly becomes adept at the operation, earning more than the men and using the proceeds to treat Sharbati, who she has told that her boss has sanctioned a loan. One of Timmy’s henchmen outs Jerry to Inspector Lal, and a police officer searches the bus she’s on and finds drugs in the tiffin box, but dismisses it as a false alarm because he is later revealed to work for Timmy. Timmy learns the traitor’s identity through another man, and kills both the traitor and the henchman at Jerry’s request. Traumatized, she tells Timmy she does not want to continue and asks him to pay her dues. Timmy reacts with anger, demanding a body massage, and when he tries to take advantage, she shoves him and escapes, leaving him paralyzed.

Jerry returns home to plan a departure with her family, but Daddu, Jigar, and the rest of Timmy’s henchmen are already holding Sharbati and Cherry. Daddu calls Daler, who says Jerry can earn her freedom back in exchange for a grand delivery—100 kilograms of cocaine. Jerry agrees and hatches a plan with her family and Anil. As part of the plan, Sharbati fakes an illness the next day and Jerry and Cherry pretend to seek help. However, Rinku intercepts the gang and offers to assist Jerry. They manage to load Sharbati onto a minivan, and along the way, Rinku learns they’re smuggling drugs hidden in a bed, which unsettles him. They slip past a police checkpoint by faking Sharbati’s illness and arrive at Malik’s fish factory to deliver the drugs, only to find that 10% of the consignment is actual cocaine while the rest is salt. Realizing the grim risk of being killed, Jerry reveals to Malik that she is safe as long as the rest of the drugs’ location remains hidden, and Malik cannot locate them.

Malik captures Jerry, her family, Anil, and Rinku, and Jerry reveals another location, only to discover it’s refined sugar. While being tortured, they kill their captor, and then bump into Inspector Lal, seeking his help in exchange for her freedom. They regroup at Timmy’s restaurant, where Daler and his men take everyone hostage. Tenzin and his gang arrive with the supposed drugs, but it turns out to be ordinary flour. A fierce shootout ensues, and all gang members except an injured Timmy are killed. The police seize the place, and Jerry is ready to return home, but Inspector Lal demands that she accompany him to the police station. She reminds him of their deal, but he refuses to budge. Faced with limited options, Jerry explains that he would never know the real location of the drugs if she’s arrested, which is actually hidden in his own house inside an almirah. With no other choice, he lets Jerry walk free, and she leaves the scene with her family and Anil, concluding with a quiet affirmation that, to survive in this world, a little bravery is all that’s needed.
