Meredith boards a bus toward El Paso

On Christmas Eve, Meredith ends up on an American Auto Coach bus bound for El Paso, joining a diverse mix of passengers. The ride promises an uneventful journey, though tension lingers as law enforcement pursues her. The bus becomes a fragile sanctuary as outside chaos begins to unfold.

Biker gang taunts the bus and a deadly mistake occurs

A group of meth-addicted bikers taunts the bus and performs dangerous stunts around it. One biker missteps and is run over by the bus, triggering a vengeful reaction from the others. The driver Danny Gunn exits to help, but a biker shoots him dead, wounding Meredith and passenger Joey Ryan as stray rounds fly.

Weapon is retrieved and group tries to flee
