Dende senses the distress on New Namek as a sentient spaceship latched to the planet begins its attack. He telepathically reaches out to Goku on Earth, pleading for aid. The urgency sets the rescue mission in motion.

Earth's team arrives on New Namek

Goku, Gohan, Krillin, Piccolo, Oolong, Yajirobe and Master Roshi travel to New Namek and confront an army of large robots terrorizing Namekians. They quickly learn Cooler, Frieza's brother, is behind the assault and has a metallic body. The team steels themselves for a direct confrontation.

Cooler's plan revealed

Cooler explains that he will absorb the planet and its lifeforms to power his ship. The ship clamps onto the surface and begins draining the world. His metallic form and ruthless ambition make the threat nearly unstoppable.

Goku fights while others battle robots

Goku engages Cooler in combat, while the others fend off the armored robot army. The Namekians are overwhelmed and many are captured along with a village. The team fights to prevent full annihilation and to protect the captives.

Piccolo destroys robots and frees captives

Piccolo unleashes a massive ki attack that obliterates the robots in a single strike. He then pushes toward the captured Namekians to free them. The rescue operation intensifies the battle against Cooler’s forces.

Goku vs Meta-Cooler; Vegeta arrives

Goku struggles against Meta-Cooler, who regenerates and uses instantaneous movement. Vegeta arrives and saves Goku from danger, reuniting the two Super Saiyans. They prepare to take down Meta-Cooler together.

Destruction of Meta-Cooler; ship regenerates 1000 copies

The two Super Saiyans manage to destroy Meta-Cooler, but the ship regenerates 1000 manifestations of him. The new flood of Meta-Coolers overwhelms their efforts and tilts the battle against the heroes. The team braces for a desperate counterattack.

Captured to be converted into fuel

Goku and Vegeta are captured and transported to be converted into fuel for the ship. The ship leeches their energy as the situation grows direr. The remaining team must devise a plan to break them free.

Ki overload; true Cooler revealed

Goku and Vegeta unleash their ki to overload the ship’s energy systems. Cooler reveals that his brain is fused with the ship’s computer, granting him control over its power. The deficit becomes a race to disrupt the system before it drains them completely.

True Cooler slain; Piccolo faces Meta-Cooler

Goku finishes the true biological Cooler with a ki blast. Piccolo arrives to confront a Meta-Cooler, which detonates in a massive explosion. The immediate danger to the heroes begins to dissipate as the ship’s defenses crumble.

Escape as ship explodes

The remaining Meta-Coolers and robotic soldiers explode in a chain reaction around the ship. The heroes manage to escape just as the vessel leaves New Namek’s orbit and blows apart. Relief washes over the survivors as the threat finally ends.

Victory celebrated on the ground

Goku and Vegeta fall back to the battlefield near their allies, where everyone cheers the victory. The Namekian villagers and Earth’s team share a moment of relief and triumph. The band of heroes bonds over their hard-won success.
