Avinash and Diya are a newly married couple who suddenly find themselves kidnapped and abandoned on a remote hill. Avinash regains consciousness while Diya remains unconscious. He drags her to safety, makes a frantic call from his phone as their car is blown apart, and carries Diya to an old shed where he leaves a voice message for Sid, hoping help will come. A chilling, anonymous caller soon appears in their lives, demanding money to be delivered to locations he will name, and warning that a bomb implanted in Avinash’s throat will explode if they don’t comply. The caller even shares a video to prove the danger, forcing Avinash to scramble to secure the ransom.

Right after the car blast, the present-day tension unfolds as Diya regains some awareness. The film cuts between Avi’s flashback and the current crisis, gradually revealing how a determined fall from a small-town life into a high-stakes corporate world shaped the choices that led them here. In the Bangalore-bound arc from Kerala, Avinash meets Diya at a roadside eatery, where a chance encounter soon deepens into a relationship. His marketing savvy catches the eye of Sid, and after a meeting in the same eatery, Avi is hired as the marketing head of Sid’s cigarette company. Avi’s sharp strategies quickly push sales higher and win Sid’s trust, setting him on a fast track to being Sid’s right-hand man. When Sid’s father—who owns the company—retirees, Sid steps up as the new boss, much to the resentment of his brother, Praveen, whose ambitions clash with Avi’s rise.

Back in the present, Avi notices a car outside the shed, senses danger, and barely escapes a fresh assault. He finds a gun in a car trunk, defends himself, and ends up tumbling off a cliff during the struggle. He returns to the shed with renewed determination to escape with Diya, suspecting that the killer’s setup may be the handiwork of Sid or Praveen due to their falling out with him. Diya’s situation grows direr when Avi reveals the truth: the bomb is in her throat, and to gain precious time, the killer’s plan requires Diya to smoke. Each cigarette supposedly buys one more hour, a grim clock that is reflected on a watch Avi left behind.

As the narrative loops back into Avi’s backstory, Sid’s partner, a corrupt minister, pushes for a cheaper cigarette brand that would capitalize on rising taxes, a plan Avi morally grapples with after discovering that his aggressive marketing has led many children to adopt the brand. The moral conflict weighs heavily on him as he questions the human cost of success.

In the present, Sid makes a dramatic return to Bangalore—kidnapped from the airport by Avi and Diya’s captors—and is coerced into coordinating the money transfer. They force Sid to call Praveen to secure the funds, and the group moves to deliver the money to the two recipients named by the caller. The investigation soon points toward the anonymous caller, a man with an army background, whose vendetta is personal and shocking: Avi’s marketing had indirectly fueled a tragedy in the caller’s life—a daughter who became a chain smoker, losing her baby to passive smoking. That devastating backstory becomes the killer’s motive for revenge.

Realizing the extent of the revenge, Avi returns to the same shed to confront the anonymous assailant, while Diya breaks down at the cemetery of the killer’s family. A minister’s goon attempts to murder Diya at the graveyard, but a sniper kills him, and Avi—who goes to meet the anonymous man—falls to a gunshot from the same foe. The film ends on an ambiguous note about the killer’s true identity and Diya’s fate, with the bomb still in her throat and the future hanging in a tense balance.
