To support this ruse, he enlists the help of his steadfast friend David [Vennela Kishore] and a troupe of Brahmins who gather around Bangarraju [Brahmanandam], a wily and entertaining figure who brings both wit and necessity to the mission. The group also includes Sampangi Sastry [M. S. Narayana], along with a circle of comedians and performers such as Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Master Bharath, Kadambari Kiran, Ananth Babu, and Amanchi Venkata Subrahmanyam as Agnihotra Narasimha Sastry. Together, they stage a plan to perform a Mahachandi Yagam that would, in theory, forge unity where there had been only competition and fear.
