During Sandhya’s birthday party, she introduces Pratap to Venu and announces plans to marry him. This revelation unnerves Venu, who feels a sting of disappointment. When he is asked about it, he makes a bold move: he proposes to Sandhya, who gently declines. Venu accepts the refusal with good grace, though he remains convinced that Sandhya still harbors feelings for him. Venu’s circle of friends suggests that Aruna might marry again, but he rejects the idea, insisting that his care for her should be that of a true friend rather than a suitor.

Sandhya watches these events unfold and grows to admire Venu’s compassion and steadiness. She also forges a friendship with Aruna, recognizing the kind heart that lies beneath Aruna’s scars. The story then unveils a harsher truth: [Pratap] is Aruna’s former lover, the man who betrayed her in the name of his own ambitions and who manipulates circumstances to pursue Sandhya’s wealth.
