Vijay Ramniklal, an NRI living in Uganda, plans to move back to India with his son Suraj Dharmendra and daughter Radha as the country claws its way through a civil war. On the night they’re about to depart, rebels strike their home and set it ablaze. Suraj dives into the fire to save his sister, and pulls out a woman who turns out to be the housemaid dressed in Radha’s clothes Aruna Irani. The trauma costs his father his life, and Suraj, convinced Radha burned with the house, is shaken by the absence of a body. Yet doubt gnaws at him, and he heads to India alone as the turmoil worsens.

In India, Suraj discovers that Kalicharan, the caretaker of their property, has sold off much of it and refuses to return it, using the estate for illegal ventures. Kalicharan orders an attack on Suraj, and during a tense escape he hides in the car of Sudha Hema Malini, a renowned dancer. After a brutal car chase, Kalicharan’s goons are driven back by an unseen rival who invites Suraj to join his gang to reclaim the ancestral property and locate Radha. Suraj declines, insisting he would rather endure hardship than become a thief. Sudha helps him reach the police, and it’s revealed that the supposed rival mafioso is actually a police officer. Suraj is then recruited by a DIG to join the fight against Kalicharan’s international drug racket.

Sudha’s glamorous life hides a shady past. Kalicharan blackmails her, framing her as a murder suspect and using her to smuggle drugs. This complicates Suraj’s mission, as he navigates danger, loyalty, and the quest to rescue his sister from a network that extends beyond borders.

The hunt leads to Rome and Malta, where Suraj encounters Sudha again. He learns his sister has fallen into the clutches of human traffickers tied to Kalicharan and is being held on the island. With the help of local police, the Indian narcotics division closes in on Kalicharan’s men, but the villain grabs Sudha as a hostage in his Bond-villain–style underground lair.
