Cameroon hunt interrupted by radio contact

Scott Cowley and his guide are hunting in the Cameroon jungle when they receive a radio call from Scott's brother Charlie about his own guide missing. The call is interrupted by horrific animal sounds suggesting an attack. They set out to help, but they soon fall prey themselves, and Charlie eventually finds Scott fatally wounded.

Seven years later: a weekend at Mitch's cabin planned

Derek lives with his mother Gwen and his abusive stepfather Mitch. Derek plans to use Mitch's cabin for a weekend party with classmates, taking advantage of Mitch's planned work trip. That night, a werewolf attacks the cabin and brutally murders four partygoers; Derek and Sam manage to escape.

Survivors hide the truth about the attacker

Scarred by the massacre, Derek and Sam tell authorities they didn't see the attacker, fearing disbelief. They become tight-lipped, choosing to conceal the truth as investigators begin to piece together what happened. The incident plants seeds of doubt about who the killer really was.

Derek and Sam suspect Mitch is the werewolf and seek proof

With the attacker still unknown, Derek and Sam suspect Mitch due to his obsession with Gwen. They resolve to gather evidence that could prove his guilt, aware that a credible accusation would require DNA proof. They begin to plot how to obtain that evidence without tipping Mitch off.

Mitch steals Charlie's DNA test results

Mitch abducts Sam and lures Derek to the cabin

Final battle at the cabin

They fight him with silver weapons and manage to set him on fire, burning down the cabin in the process. Derek and Sam escape, with the shared trauma and danger of the curse looming closer than ever.

Aftermath: the curse passes to Derek

As Mitch dies, he tells Derek that the curse is now his. Sam comforts Derek, promising to stand by him whatever happens. The couple drive off together on Sam's moped, stepping into an uncertain future.
