Del reveals there is no condo and that they will instead live in the historic mansion Casa Fortuna. He explains Alma Martín, the former mistress of the house, haunts the place and that she and her husband Esteban killed each other. Barbara and Larry sense trouble as the mansion's legend is introduced.

Barbara enters Dr. Solomon’s space and witnesses a healer performing surgery on a woman, healing a gaping wound. She is appalled by the raw procedures and the mystery surrounding the doctor’s methods. The unsettling healing rites deepen the sense that Alma’s power is tied to forbidden practices.

Del's body found

A villager discovers Del’s body on the hillside near the mansion, confirming his death. Larry shifts focus toward saving Barbara as the danger peaks. The death intensifies the sense that Alma’s influence reaches beyond the mansion’s walls.

Exorcism attempt

Larry and Dr. Solomon attempt an exorcism to separate Alma from Barbara’s body. Barbara fights the possession, losing consciousness during the rite. Alma materializes and threatens to fully take over before the exorcism disrupts her hold.
