Periya Aambalai, Joe Malloori, is an elderly patriarch who heads a sprawling, multi-generational family. He and his households are split across two marriages, yielding a total of eight children and a web of loyalties that shape every decision they make. From his first wife, he has three sons — Kasi, Saravanan, Pazhanisamy, Vignesh, and Dharmaraj, Snehan — and a daughter, all of whom are bound to him through years of shared history and respect. From his second wife, the family expands further with four more sons — Muthupandi, Cheran, Azhagar, Nakkalites Chella, Selvam, Soundara Raja, and Mahesh, who round out the household with their own ambitions and tensions.

Kasi, Saravanan, has two children, Sakthivel, Gautham Ram Karthik, and Selvi, Venba. Sakthi, the elder, is in love with his friend Viji, Shivathmika. This romance threads through the family’s dynamic, setting the stage for a collision between duty and desire as the clan navigates old grudges and new loyalties.

Muthupandi, Cheran, is deeply affectionate toward Kasi and also keeps Sakthi on as his trusted aide in the family’s growing lorry business. Yet not everyone shares this closeness. Azhagar, Nakkalites Chella, and Selvam, Soundara Raja, harbor a steely grudge against their half-brothers, a rift that becomes a persistent source of friction within the house. Muthupandi’s wife, Vairam, played by Suzane George, worries that the closer ties between halves of the family will destabilize their carefully balanced life.

Into this tense atmosphere enters Karuppan, Daniel Balaji, a ruthless moneylender who sees his chance to corrupt the family as Muthupandi’s business grows. His scheming eyes the land that would complete the new family home, and he patiently plots to bend the brothers to his will, threatening Kasi and others to secure his grip.

When Selvi becomes pregnant, Kasi decides to bring the childbirth home, but the house is in poor condition. The plan to build a brand-new house is set in motion after Muthupandi generously offers his land to host the project, with Kasi vowing to erect a home for the entire clan of about thirty members. Construction begins amid careful optimism, yet Karuppan’s machinations quickly surface. He exploits tensions by sending some of his men to work on the site, intent on sowing distrust and tearing the siblings apart. Muthupandi resists these provocations, steering the project forward even as the saboteurs try to derail it.

The conflict deepens as Azhagar and Selvam align with Karuppan, trying to halt the progress. A serious accident temporarily halts construction when Muthupandi falls from the stairs and is hospitalized. While he recovers, the family’s unity wavers, and old grudges threaten to pull them apart. Muthupandi, however, reveals a long-buried flashback that explains why he shares such a strong bond with Kasi: he used to be a reckless gambler who even stole temple funds. He contemplated suicide after that misdeed, but Kasi stepped in, borrowing money to restore the temple fund and saving him from ruin. He learns that Kasi kept that painful past a secret, choosing to protect him rather than reveal the truth.

Back in the present, this revelation becomes a turning point. The family begins to recognize the harm caused by their divisions and resolves to patch things up with Kasi. Yet the peace is shattered when Karuppan executes a new scheme: Kasi is struck by a lorry and taken hostage to force a land transfer. Sakthi, Gautham Ram Karthik, carries the document to Karuppan, only for Sakthi to uncover that the thumb impressions were improperly done, rendering the document invalid. In a decisive confrontation, Sakthi defeats Karuppan and his henchmen, Kasi returns home from the hospital, and the long-awaited house is finally completed. The family, united at last, moves in together to begin a new chapter of shared life and renewed bonds, proving that love, forgiveness, and perseverance can outpace even the most cunning schemes.
