Chander Kapoor Bobby Deol steps into a tangled web of loyalty and love when he helps a friend marry Sapna, defying the objections of Sapna’s brother Mukesh Rishi and a suspended police officer, Inspector Mathur. The elopement sets off a chain of consequences that pull in many lives and loyalties.

Sapna’s friend Pooja Karisma Kapoor is with Sapna during the pivotal moment, and soon after, she falls deeply in love with Chander. The man who raised him, Chander’s widowed father, an advocate, gently guides him to uncover the identity of the so-called “dream girl” by luring another man named Chander to a wedding. That ruse leads Chander to realize the dream girl is Pooja, and the couple begins to date, unaware of the storm that follows.

When Pooja’s parents learn about the relationship, they strongly disapprove and push her toward an engagement with someone else. Chander confronts her father at home, where abuse begins, and he retaliates in the heat of the moment. A misunderstanding erupts between Chander and Pooja, driving them apart. After a painful fallout, Pooja reaches out and asks to meet, but Chander is too angered to respond. Their childhood friend Jai arranges a plan to bring them together, proposing a meeting in a deserted area.

That fragile moment is shattered when a gang abducts Pooja, and Jai’s manipulation lands her in the grip of one of the city’s feared pimps, Baburao [Rahul Dev]. Grief and longing push Chander deeper into the search for Pooja, and his path soon collides with the police. At the station, Inspector Mathur and a constable [Ashok Saraf] try to coerce and arrest him, but Chander fights back and escapes with help from his allies. He is driven to locate Jai, who can point him toward Pooja.

Badru, an informant, tips Mathur off about Chander’s whereabouts, and Chander narrowly misses a trap set by Jai. The pursuit grows more dangerous as Chander discovers Jai’s true role in the web that ensnared Pooja. A confrontation erupts in the streets, and Chander ends up beating Jai to force him to reveal the truth and lead him to the place where Pooja is being held.

Meanwhile, an Arabic man from Dubai has arranged to purchase Pooja for 50 lakh rupees and fly her out of India. As Mathur and his team close in, Chander’s friends help him escape again, and the pressure within the police force grows sharper. The pursuit strains everyone involved, including Mathur, whose vendetta against Chander intensifies and even costs a man his job, with Bawander Singh resigning in protest.

The climax sets in at the airport. Chander presses his way to the terminal to save Pooja from being boarded by the Dubai buyer. Baburao reappears to stop him in a brutal showdown, and Chander fights him with everything he has. In the chaos, Baburao is eventually downed, but not before Jai is fatally struck by a stray shot Baburao fires. Mathur shoots Baburao from behind, a move that looks like Mathur has helped Chander, and Bawander Singh salutes him with a quiet, sincere gesture.
