Srividya Purushottaman, known as Sri, is a college student who steps in to help someone after an accident and ends up injuring her hand. At the hospital, she is given IV drugs that trigger an artificial coma. When she awakens, she discovers her soul has transferred into a teddy bear, Annelise Edwards as Teddy, a twist that thrusts her story into a dangerous crossfire between medicine, crime, and the unseen world of the living.

Shivanarayanan, called Shiva, is an unemployed graduate whose eidetic memory and obsessive-compulsive tendencies push him to learn things quickly but also to live on the edge of social normalcy. After his mother Lakshmi and a friend take him to psychiatrist Dr. Priya Gopal for a session, nothing seems to help him find peace or purpose. His life is upended by an act of courage one night when he saves a teenager from a group of goons, a moment that Sri watches from her unusual perch in the teddy bear and which begins to blur the lines between dream and reality.

Initially, Shiva suspects the encounter with Sri is a dream, but the next morning she makes it clear that the encounter was real. Sri explains that she needs to see her boyfriend Rishi, only to reveal that Rishi is a fraud and that Sri’s trust has been deeply betrayed. Heartbroken, Sri finds a new ally in Shiva, and together they return to Sri’s home where her father, Purushottaman, is driven to the brink of despair and tries to take his own life. Shiva saves him, and Sri’s mother urges them to locate Sri’s body and bring her home.

Determined to recover Sri’s body, Shiva and Sri embark on a perilous quest. Shiva sends Sri as a package marked with a barcode from the hospital, and provides her with a smartphone to track where the parcel might be headed. The plan works in a way: the parcel lands in Azerbaijan, and Sri uses a beggar’s phone to take a selfie outside a restaurant, sending the image to Shiva through social media. To finance their mission, Shiva sells shares and travels abroad, where he crosses paths with Karthik, a man who has been working in Azerbaijan for three years. The unlikely pair—Shiva and Sri—reunite and decide to hunt for Sri’s body in a place that hides more than one truth.

Clues surface as Sri recognizes a tattoo on the hands of the parcel deliverer, guiding Shiva to the shocking realization of a vast medical scam. They uncover that Sri was abducted to exploit her rare blood type, a resource sought after by the ultra-wealthy. The mastermind behind the scheme is Dr. Varadharajan, who runs a sinister illegal organ-trafficking operation that involves inducing coma in victims and then removing their organs.

With the help of the police, Shiva and Sri navigate a legal path to stop the conspiracy and save others who might be at risk. Sri regains consciousness as the dark operation is brought to light, and the teddy’s grip on her fades as the soul leaves, allowing her to reunite physically with her parents in India. Yet the emotional toll remains as she grapples with memories of Shiva and the life they forged together.

A year later, Sri begins to follow Shiva again, taking photos of him as a quiet sign of her renewed affection. The two share a tentative, hopeful bond and ultimately marry, choosing to build a life together. Yet a haunting, bittersweet note lingers: whenever Sri falls asleep, her soul risks returning to the teddy, leaving to the fore the question of where consciousness truly resides and what binds two hearts when the world may demand more than one life.
