Ramachandra, known as Ram, is a talented travel photographer who returns to his high school, where he is hit by a wave of nostalgia. In order to reconnect with old friends, a reunion is organized through their school WhatsApp group. At the gathering, he runs into friends such as Murali, Shubha, and Sathish, who bring up the subject of Janaki, affectionately called Jaanu, Ram’s childhood sweetheart, who is making her way from Singapore for the event.

Through flashbacks to 1999, we witness the budding friendship between Ram and Jaanu, who are both classmates in the 10th grade. Jaanu, played by Bhavana, is a gifted singer, and the pair develops a romantic connection, sharing a poignant moment after their board exams. Jaanu makes Ram promise, “Don’t forget me until we meet again after the holidays.”

When Jaanu arrives at the reunion, she eagerly searches for Ram. Shubha guides her to his location, prompting Jaanu to reflect on the first day of 11th grade when she waited anxiously for Ram’s arrival, only to find he never came. She learns from their friends that Ram’s family had to move to Bangalore due to financial issues, which left her heartbroken as she missed him throughout her schooling years.

As Ram and Jaanu finally reunite, they initially feel the weight of their past and struggle to engage comfortably. Their friends discuss Jaanu’s married life in Singapore, contrasting it with Ram’s single status. After the reunion party, they decide to take a drive, during which Jaanu confides her feelings. She reveals that she never forgot Ram and regrets having to marry someone else, forced by circumstances.

Ram then brings up a moment from the past when he and Murali tried to meet her at her college, revealing that Jaanu had refused to see him. Jaanu is shattered, explaining that she never saw him and thought he was just a stalker. As Ram shares that he had seen her from afar at her wedding, both feel the ache of their unfulfilled memories and lost opportunities. They come to terms with their past and agree to cherish one last moment together before Jaanu returns home.

The two venture into the city, visiting a restaurant where they unexpectedly encounter Ram’s photography students. Mistaking Jaanu for Ram’s wife, they ask her to spin a tale about their love story. Jaanu, caught in the moment, improvises a heartfelt narrative that describes a scenario of them being together since the fateful college meeting, much to Ram’s discomfort. After the students leave, a downpour catches them, and Ram invites Jaanu to his apartment to dry off.

Once inside, Jaanu expresses her concern over Ram’s stagnant love life, urging him to move on and start a family of his own. She delights him with a rendition of his favorite song, a melody she previously avoided singing for him in school. Together, they relive their precious memories, reminiscing over love letters, dried flowers, and uniforms from their school days. Time is fleeting as they return to Jaanu’s hotel to prepare for her impending flight.

At the airport, Ram walks Jaanu to the boarding gate. Their farewell is an emotional one, filled with tears and unspoken words as Jaanu boards her flight, leaving Ram in Bengaluru. Back in his apartment, Ram discovers Jaanu’s clothes drying from the previous night. He tenderly folds them, placing them with his collection of treasured memories, sealing the suitcase as the screen fades to black, symbolizing the end of a chapter for both of them.
