Zbigniew Zamachowski, born on 17 July 1961 in Brzeziny near Łódź, is one of Poland's most celebrated actors, known for his versatility across film, theatre, and television. After graduating from the prestigious National Film School in Łódź, he launched his career in 1981 and quickly became a prominent figure in Polish cinema, earning acclaim for his nuanced performances and charismatic screen presence. His early break came with an appearance in Krzysztof Kieślowski’s Dekalog (1990), where he portrayed Artur in the poignant episode “Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbor's Goods,” showcasing his ability to convey deep emotional complexity.
