Schmidt’s early theatre work included a role in George F. Walker’s Heaven at Dallas’ Kitchen Dog Theater (2003) and an understudy position on a national tour of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, which led to the acquisition of her first talent agent and television credits on Law & Order and 3 lbs in 2006.
