Violett Beane (born May 18, 1996) is an American actress whose career has swiftly progressed from regional theater in Texas to leading roles on major streaming platforms. She was born in St. Petersburg, Florida but moved with her family to Austin, Texas at the age of ten, a city she proudly calls her hometown. Growing up in a Quaker household, Beane attended weekly meetings and often describes her childhood as steeped in the values of compassion and reflection, which later informed her empathetic performances. She discovered a love for drama while attending McCallum High School, where she participated in school productions and honed her craft through intensive drama classes. By her senior year she secured an agent in Austin, marking the first professional step toward a screen career.
