Thea Gill (born Thea Louise Gill on April 5, 1970) is a Canadian actress and jazz vocalist best recognized for her portrayal of Lindsay Peterson in the groundbreaking Showtime series Queer as Folk. Raised in Vancouver, she attended a private girls' school for twelve years before enrolling at York University in Toronto, where she earned a BFA Honours in Theatre Performance in 1992, laying a solid foundation for a versatile career on stage and screen. Following graduation, Gill moved to Toronto and spent several formative years appearing in theatre productions, guest‑spot television roles, commercials, and independent films, steadily building a reputation for depth and professionalism.
