Spoilers ahead
Derek Baynham portrays Tyler Davidson, who invites his college buddy Charlie David as Chase Rousseau to spend the summer at Prospect Lake, setting the stage for a family portrait that feels almost flawless on the surface.
To Chase, the Davidson household looks almost perfect, a visible model of warmth and stability that sharply contrasts with his own dysfunctional upbringing where closeness never came easily.
Tyler’s well‑meaning drive to keep the summer lively includes nudging Chase toward local dating, but the mood shifts when Chase comes out as gay, revealing a deeper truth beneath the sunlit facade.
As the Davids rally to support him, Nathan Davidson, Dan Payne, begins to spend substantial time with Chase, offering guidance and a growing sense of protectiveness that surprises both men.
