Tao Okamoto (岡本 多緒, Okamoto Tao, born May 22, 1985), professionally known as Tao, is an acclaimed Japanese actress and model, standing as one of Japan's most prominent figures in the fashion and film industry. The spotlight was on her when she became one of the faces of Ralph Lauren in 2009. Tao ventured into the film industry as lead Mariko Yashida in the 2013 film The Wolverine, later playing Mercy Graves in the 2016 film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She also held recurring roles in popular series like Hannibal, The Man in the High Castle, and Westworld.

Tao initiated her modeling career as a teenager in Japan, just at 14. With an aspiration to make her mark on the international level, she moved to Paris in 2006. This path led her to successful runway debuts and ad campaigns for big fashion houses including Dolce & Gabbana, Emporio Armani, Kenzo, and Tommy Hilfiger. Tao also made significant contributions to i-D Magazine, V Magazine, W Magazine, and Harper's Bazaar and Vogue's international editions. Her fit into the international modeling scene was such a success that the November 2009 issue of Vogue Nippon was dedicated to her. Tao's body of work includes Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang, Burberry Prorsum, Bottega Veneta, Chanel, among other prestigious brands. Her acting career kickstarted in 2013, marking successful projects with esteemed personalities in the film industry. Tao married Tenzin Wild, the Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Last Magazine, in 2015.
