Sverrir Páll Guðnason, born on 12 September 1978 in Lund, Sweden, is a Swedish‑Icelandic actor known for his versatile performances across stage and screen. He was raised in Reykjavík after his Icelandic parents moved there, and his early exposure to theatre came through the Reykjavík City Theatre, where he debuted in Heimsljós. In 1990, his family returned to Sweden, settling in Tyresö when his father accepted a professorship at the Royal Institute of Technology, giving Sverrir a bicultural upbringing that would later inform his artistic sensibility. His first television appearance arrived the same year in the satirical New Year’s program Áramótaskaupið, marking the start of a career that would span more than two decades.
