Stefania Careddu, born on 13 January 1945 in Bergamo, Italy, is an Italian retired film and stage actress whose career, though relatively brief, spanned the golden era of Italian cinema in the 1960s and 1970s. She is the daughter of the writer Marianna Frigeni, and from this literary upbringing came an early appreciation for performance and storytelling that would shape her future in cinema. Careddu entered the world of film in 1965 with a small, modest role in Gianni Puccini's I soldi, marking her debut on the silver screen during a vibrant period of Italian filmmaking. Her talent quickly caught the attention of directors, and the following year she earned her first role of significant weight in Nelo Risi's Andremo in città, a film that demonstrated her dramatic capabilities and opened doors to more prominent projects in the Italian film industry.

Throughout the late 1960s, Careddu built her resume with a series of supporting roles that showcased her versatility as an actress.
