His mother, Gertrude Chorre, was a noted actress of Luiseño descent, and his sister Marie Chorte also pursued acting, creating an environment where performance and artistic expression were integral to daily life from an early age. Chorre attended Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California, where he developed considerable athletic prowess, particularly distinguishing himself as a marathon runner, demonstrating the physical stamina, endurance, and discipline that would later define his professional wrestling career.
