Joseph William Utsler, better known by his flamboyant stage name Shaggy 2 Dope, is an American rapper, producer, DJ, podcast host, professional wrestler and actor who rose to prominence as one half of the horrorcore duo Insane Clown Posse. Born on October 14, 1974 in Wayne, Michigan, he began his artistic career in 1989 when he and future partner Violent J formed the short‑lived group JJ Boyz before evolving into Inner City Posse and ultimately Insane Clown Posse in 1991. Over the next three decades Utsler has been continuously active (1989‑present), co‑founding Psychopathic Records and later the wrestling promotion Juggalo Championship Wrestling, where he also serves as color commentator.
