Samuel M. Raimi, born on October 23, 1959, is a renowned American film director, screenwriter, and producer. His notable works include directing the first three 'Evil Dead' franchise films (1981-present), the 'Spider-Man' trilogy (2002-2007), and the Marvel Studios film 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' (2022). Raimi's films are celebrated for their distinctive, dynamic visual style, influenced by comic books and slapstick comedy. He established Renaissance Pictures in 1979 and Ghost House Pictures in 2002, and produced several prosperous television series, such as Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, and Ash vs Evil Dead.
