Þorsteinn Bachmann, born on the 25th of October, 1965, is a critically acclaimed Icelandic actor recognizable for his impactful role as Móri in the film 'Life in a Fishbowl'. His remarkable performance in this particular role not only catapulted him to fame but also won him the prestigious Edda Award in 2015. Hailing from the Fossvogur area of Reykjavík, Iceland, Þorsteinn's early life was fraught with academic challenges. He moved to Breiðholt at the age of ten, and it was only after changing schools was he able to significantly improve his reading and writing skills.

His contribution to the performing arts extends beyond acting, as he served as a teacher at the Icelandic Drama School and the Icelandic Film School and was president of the theatre group in Akureyri for a number of years.
