Mashar Hamsa is an Indian costume designer born on 13 June 1990 in the coastal town of Tanur, Kerala, India. Growing up amidst the vibrant textile traditions of Kerala, he developed an early fascination with fabrics, colors, and the storytelling power of clothing, which later guided his professional journey. After completing his formal education, Mashar entered the advertising world, designing costumes for a variety of television commercials where he honed his skill in translating narrative briefs into visual attire. His breakthrough into cinema arrived in 2013 with the critically acclaimed road‑trip drama Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, where his nuanced designs captured the regional diversity of characters and earned him recognition among filmmakers.
