Masaharu Fukuyama (福山 雅治, born February 6, 1969 in Nagasaki, Japan) is a multi‑talented Japanese entertainer best known as a singer‑songwriter, but also acclaimed as an actor, record producer, radio personality and photographer. He began his professional career in 1988 after graduating from Nagasaki Prefectural Nagasaki Technical High School and quickly signed with Amuse, Inc., which still represents him today. Fukuyama's debut single "Tsuioku no Ame no Naka" arrived in 1990, but his breakthrough came in 1992 with the TV‑drama‑linked hit "Good night," which propelled him onto the prestigious Kōhaku Uta Gassen stage the following year.
