Markus Flanagan (born August 20, 1964) is a seasoned American actor whose career spans more than three decades of television and film work. He began his professional journey in 1988 after completing intensive training at the Neighborhood Playhouse Acting School in New York City, where he was among the final students of the legendary Sanford Meisner. Flanagan’s early breakout came in 1990 when he was cast in the short‑lived ABC police drama Sunset Beat, sharing the screen with George Clooney, Michael Deluise and Erik King. He later secured a regular role on NBC’s medical series Nurses for its second season, portraying the rebellious nurse Luke and showcasing his talent for blending humor with dramatic intensity. From 2004 to 2007 he became a familiar face to younger audiences as Jeff Singer, the supportive father in the Nickelodeon hit Unfabulous, starring opposite Emma Roberts. His résumé is distinguished by an impressive array of guest and recurring appearances on acclaimed shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, NCIS, Friends, Seinfeld, Will & Grace, Major Crimes, Bones and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., accumulating over 125 televised episodes.
