Marianne Edwards was an American child actress who captivated audiences during the golden age of Hollywood cinema, establishing herself as a memorable presence in the beloved Our Gang film series. Born on December 9, 1930, in Los Angeles, California, Edwards entered the entertainment industry at an exceptionally young age, beginning her professional career when she was merely three years old. Her early promise and undeniable screen presence led to her signing a prestigious five-year contract with Hal Roach Studios in 1935, when she was just four years old, a significant achievement that positioned her as notable competition for the era's biggest child star, Shirley Temple. This exclusive agreement with one of Hollywood's most prestigious comedy studios represented a major investment in her potential stardom and guaranteed her appearances in multiple productions annually.
