Maria Ludwika Paleta Paciorek, known professionally as Ludwika Paleta, is a Polish‑Mexican actress whose career spans more than three decades. Born on 29 November 1978 in Kraków, Poland, she moved to Mexico as a child when her father, musician Zbigniew Paleta, accepted a job there, and the family settled permanently. Her early exposure to the entertainment world came through a spontaneous audition with her older sister Dominika, which led to her first television role in the beloved children’s series Carrusel in 1989. The role made her an instant celebrity and laid the foundation for a prolific career in telenovelas and film. In 1992 she returned to the small screen starring opposite Gael García Bernal in El abuelo y yo, a performance she later described as her favorite television job.
