Lisa Seagram, born Ruth Browser on July 7, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York, was an American actress who carved out a notable career in film and television during the 1960s and early 1970s. The daughter of Harry Browser, a New York City police detective, she initially pursued a career as a graphic artist following her college education before transitioning into modeling at a friend's suggestion. Her entry into acting came after someone remarked that she "looked like an actor," prompting her to study drama for three years. This dedication led to her film debut in Shadows (1959), marking the beginning of a career that would span nearly two decades. Seagram became particularly recognized for her supporting roles in popular television series of the 1960s, appearing in shows such as McHale's Navy, The Beverly Hillbillies, Perry Mason, and Batman. One of her most memorable television appearances came in the first season of Bewitched, where she portrayed Sarah Baker in the episode "It Takes One to Know One," playing a rival witch tasked with testing Darrin's fidelity by appearing as the seductive "Jasmine Girl" in a perfume advertisement campaign. Seagram's film career included significant roles in major productions such as The Carpetbaggers (1964), Caprice (1967), and the comedy 2000 Years Later (1969), where she played the lead female role. During the late 1960s, she relocated to Italy, where she appeared in several local productions tailored to Italian audiences, most notably starring in the thriller Yellow - Le Cugine (1969). It was during her time in Italy that she met and married expatriate Canadian actor Marc Fiorini, with whom she had two children. Most of her Italian films never received distribution in the United States. After retiring from acting in the mid-1970s, Seagram transitioned into commercial real estate sales before founding Actors 2000, an acting school initially established in Hawaii during the 1980s before relocating to Los Angeles. She dedicated her later years to teaching the craft she had mastered, until her death from dementia in Burbank, California, on February 1, 2019, at the age of 82.
