Lara Flynn Boyle, an American born actress, has had a noteworthy career since her debut in 1986. Known for her role as Donna Hayward in the television series Twin Peaks (1990–1991), Boyle's career took off with key roles in several film and TV productions such as Wayne's World (1992), Red Rock West (1993) and The Temp (1993), followed by roles in Threesome (1994), Cafe Society (1995), Happiness (1998), and the villainous Serleena in Men in Black II (2002). Additionally, her role in the ABC series The Practice from 1997 to 2003 earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. Apart from acting, Boyle had a dodge with branch of politics where her paternal grandfather was U.S. Representative Charles A. Boyle.

Boyle's early career began with a small part in John Hughes's teen comedy film Ferris Bueller's Day Off, which earned her a SAG card despite her scenes being deleted from the final cut. A string of supporting roles ultimately led to her breakout role in the Gary Sherman horror film Poltergeist III (1988). Boyle later rose to international prominence when David Lynch cast her as Donna Hayward in the television series Twin Peaks (1990–1991). Boyle's successful career also includes a leading role in the blockbuster feature film Men in Black II in 2002, a seven-episode stint in Las Vegas in 2005, and making a comeback in 2020 as Grace in the film Death in Texas after a five-year break.
