Kate Drummond (born October 21, 1975) is a Canadian film, television, theatre and voice actress who has also made her mark as a producer, director and screenwriter. Raised in Sarnia after being born in Woodstock, Ontario, she grew up in a family where public service and hard work were valued—her father served as a police officer while her mother worked in a milk factory before both entered real‑estate. Drummond earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology and Education from McMaster University in 1998, which paved the way for a twelve‑year career teaching elementary students for the Ottawa Catholic School Board. At the age of thirty, she enrolled in her first acting class, discovering a deep‑seated need for creative expression that prompted a gradual shift from the classroom to the stage. After five years of local theatre work, she left teaching in 2006 to pursue acting professionally, a decision reflected in the “2006‑present” span listed for her active years.
