Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, born 5 December 1967, is a multi-talented Spanish film personality renowned for his roles as a director, script writer, and producer. He has left indelible marks in the industry with his remarkable works like Intacto and 28 Weeks Later, the sequel to Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later, garnering global fame. Fresnadillo's debut, the black-and-white short film Esposados, won 40 national and international awards and was nominated for the prestigious Academy Award for Best Short Film in 1996, marking him as a rising star in Spanish filmmaking. Known for his inspiring storylines, Fresnadillo’s personal experiences reflects in his work as seen in his film Intacto, which was inspired by the Tenerife airport disaster he witnessed at the age of nine.
